Taggart Global, LLC (Taggart), announces the appointment
of
Kenneth J. Lund
as the company's new president. Previously, as executive vice
president and General Counsel responsible for Taggart's legal
and financial affairs, as president Lund will be responsible for
managing the company's day-to-day business operations and
executing the policies and strategies of Taggart's chief
executive officer and Board of Directors.

McCormick, Taggart's CEO and former president. "He has been an
important member of the executive team since joining the company
in 2005. His knowledge, experience and leadership will help the

Lund has over 20 years of experience counseling public and
private firms on all aspects of construction and engineering
projects. Prior to joining Taggart, Ken was a partner at K & L
Gates, LLP, an international law firm.
Mervyn R. Cragg,
appointed chief financial officer of Element 92 Resources Corp.,
Cheyenne, WY, replacing
Geoff Armstrong
who continues to act as the company's president and secretary
and as a director. Cragg is currently a non executive director
of Federal Phoenix Assurance Co. Inc., and since April 2004 has
served as the chief executive officer of Goldox International
Limited. He has 25 years of financial experience.
Richard Bell
has re-joined Major Wire Industries Limited, Candiac, Quebec,
manufacturer of screen media, as its national accounts manager.
Bell will be in charge of progressing current national accounts
and creating new agreements that mutually benefit both parties
in North America and globally. Bell had served as the company's
western US territory manger from 2003 to 2005.
Cecil Lewis
joins American Energy Company-AECo as vice president of sales
and marketing. Lewis has more than 30 years experience in the
coal industry and was most recently employed by Prestige
Processing Co. of Manchester, KY. He began his career with Blue
Diamond Coal Company in 1977.
Michael T. Madden
promoted to senior vice president, sales and marketing, for
Walter Energy, Tampa, FL. Madden has been with the company for
13 years. Prior to joining Walter Energy, Madden held various
management positions in the coal industry for both the domestic
and export markets from 1974 through 1996. He is a member of
the NMA, the Alabama Coal Association, the Coal Trade
Association of NY, and has served as a director of the Coal
Exporters Association.
Ian Cockerill
was appointed executive chairperson of Petmin, Johannesburg,
from July 1. Cockerill is former coal head at Anglo American
Coal and CEO of Gold Fields and AngloGold Ashanti. He succeeds
Petmin chairperson
Piet Nel.
Cockerill has been working with the Petmin team for more than
two years as a non-executive director. Petmin, in coal, silica
and iron ore, has ambitions to be a world-class diversified
mining company.
B.K. Parekh,
a senior research engineer with the University of Kentucky
Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER), has won the Frank K.
Aplan Award for "outstanding and innovative life-long
achievements in the areas of mineral and coal processing
development and commercialization of novel processes and
advancing the art and science of fine coal dewatering."
Dale Conway,
vice president of engineering, Thompson Pump & Manufacturing
Co., Port Orange, FL, is celebrating his 25th
employment anniversary. Conway oversees all engineering
departments and technical aspects of the pump business such as
manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and research and
development. He is a graduate of the University of Central
Florida with a BS degree in mechanical engineering and is a
registered engineer intern in the state of Florida. He is a
trained ISO 9001 internal auditor.
William D. Wilmoth
of Steptoe & Johnson, Wheeling, WV, has been elected secretary
of the board of the West Virginia Independent Colleges and
Universities. Wilmoth is an attorney resident who concentrates
his practice in litigation, particularly in defending complex
commercial and energy cases, securities cases, and health care
cases. He also counsels clients in health care compliance
audits, and in health care fraud and other white-collar criminal
investigations.
Jim Quasey
joins Industrial Scientific Corp., Pittsburgh, PA, as vice
president, global operations, responsible for all global
manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, quality
and operational excellence functions within the company. He
will also serve as a member of the corporate executive council.
He comes to IS from Vocollect Health Care Systems where he
served as president and vice president, operations.
Tom Roberts
and
Mike Crowder
were appointed president and vice president, respectively, for
Canada's Cobalt Coal, and both will oversee the operations of
the new Cobalt Coal Corporation Mining subsidiary, Westchester
metallurgical coal mine in West Virginia. The two will also
manage future production at the Westchester Expansion project,
the properties under Fox Development, and all other coal
opportunities acquired by Cobalt going forward. Roberts has
worked the last 46 years in all facets of underground coal
mining. Crowder has an extensive background owning and operating
various business.
Brian Kingston
has been named managing director and chief executive of Prime
Infrastructure Holdings. Formerly Brookfield Multiplex chief
financial officer, Kingston replaces
Jeff Kendrew
who resigned to join Brookfield Asset Management as chief
development officer. Kingston helped refinance more than $A3
billion of debt in 2008 and 2009 for Brookfield Multiplex.
Joseph Leonard
named interim chief executive officer of Walter Energy,
replacing CEO/chief financial officer and general counsel
Victor Patrick,
who has retired. Taking over as interim CFO is senior vice
president-controller
Lisa Honnold,
and current vice president
Catherine Bona
will assume the seat of interim general counsel. Honnold has
been with Walter Energy since 2005, and Bona has been with the
company for 15 years.
Marthinus van Schalkwyk
was nominated to potentially lead the United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change, replacing
Ywo de Boer
who has resigned. In his previous position as Minister of
Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Minister Schalkwyk positioned
South Africa as a true climate champion, commanding respect
across the developing-developed country divide.
Jaco Kriek,
South Africa's Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR) Company CEO,
has resigned after six years with the company. Kriek will be
replaced by PBMR nuclear compliance assurance GM
Dr. Alex Tsela
as acting CEO. Kriek left to explore opportunities in the
energy industry. Under his leadership, the PBMR company grew
from a small research and development company to a global
company capable of participating in international nuclear
programs.
David Campbell
has been named exploration manager of Bandanna Energy. Formerly
exploration vice president at Waratah Coal, Campbell will assist
the management team to facilitate implementation of an expanded
exploration program over the coming years. Campbell has served
as site manager of the Coppabella mine, the senior project
manager at New Acland Coal and as a general manager of the
Baralaba coal project.
Michael Abbene
joins the board of directors of Active Control Technology Inc.,
Toronto, Ontario. Recently retired as vice president and chief
information officer at Arch Coal Inc., Abbene was named by CIO
Magazine Information Week as the Computerworld's Premier 100 IT
Leaders for 2010.
Jim Torony
was appointed vice president of product management and marketing
for the North American Operations of ABS Americas. He re-joins
ABS with nearly 25 years of rotating equipment experience with
ITT Flygt Corp. and ITT Water & Wastewater USA, where he was
director of marketing and business development.
William Shea Jr.
is the new chief executive officer of both Penn Virginia
Resource Partners and Penn Virginia GP Holdings. Shea will also
become president of the general partner of PVG, and will retain
his seat as director of Penn Virginia Corp. Shea replaces
A. James Dearlove,
who resigned to devote more time to his role as PVA's director,
president and CEO. Dearlove will also hold his seat as chairman
of the general partners of PVR and PVG.
Andile Sangqu
has been appointed executive director of Xstrata of
Johannesburg, South Africa, where he will sit on the executive
committees of both Xstrata Alloys and Xstrata Coal. Previously,
Sangqu was executive director of Kagiso Trust Investments and
acted as Prodigy-Coris Asset Management CEO.
Ian Lambert
was appointed new director and officer of Strategic Mining
Corporation, Cheyenne, WY. Lambert has over 39 years of
experience in the management and financing of public companies
and over 19 years with a publicly traded Canadian mining
company.
