Strata Safety Products has developed a low profile Inflatable
Fresh Air Bay and Skid
with a purpose and functionality identical to its existing
relatives. Heights have been reduced to fit low coal seams. The
steel skid used to house and protect the entire system is
constructed to a height of 28” and the inflatable tent is
variable to a maximum 36”. The intended occupant count is up to
16 people, equipped with 96 hours of breathable air, food,
water, first aid, flashlights, a gas monitor and toilet. The
inflatable tent has an airlock entry compartment that is used to
minimize hazardous gases contaminating the main chamber as
occupants enter the Bay. The fabric used for construction is
durable and fire retardant and is bond welded airtight. All
major components have undergone extensive testing and internal
durability and inflation testing is underway. Once completed,
