While we
“pitty-patty” along with coal industry development in the good Ole
USA, China has moved light years ahead of us. No back-and-forth
stuff, the Chinese are getting it done. Perhaps in a brutal way,
but they are getting it done. They foresee a dire need for energy
in the near future, and are moving with rapidity toward an answer.
And they will get there, well ahead of us, but at a tremendous cost
in human lives. We need to be somewhere in between, the
humanitarian way, of course, but with some sense of urgency....>>more

leading U.S. companies from the electricity generation,
transportation, coal production, energy technology, and equipment
manufacturing industries have aligned to create the American
Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity (ACCCE). The group will
support public policies that advance environmental improvement,
economic prosperity, and energy security. ACCCE also supports
public and private sector efforts to develop and deploy new,
advanced clean coal technologies that protect and improve the
environment. The formation of ACCCE is the consolidation of the
Center for Energy and Economic Development and Americans for

Four vice
presidents have been promoted at Fenner Dunlop Americas,
Scottsdale, GA. Chuck Prezioso promoted to executive vice
president of operations, responsible for all manufacturing
operations in the company’s four heavyweight conveyor belt
manufacturing plants and single lightweight belting facility;
Jim Gann promoted to executive vice president of lightweight and
business development and will continue to work in business
development while taking on additional P&L responsibility for
the lightweight belting division in Charlotte, NC, and will be
supported by Prezioso; Doug Simmons promoted to executive vice
president of sales and marketing and will maintain his existing
responsibilities within the sales and marketing group consisting
of industrial and mining sales, national accounts and export
